Workshop on Motion Capture & Localization (MoCap&Loc)

Organizers: Andrea Motroni (University of Pisa, Italy), Wei Sun (University of California San Diego, CA, US), Cheng Qi (Cognosos, GA, US), Jian Jet Zhu (Polaris Wireless, CA, US), Antonis Dimitriou (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece)

The IEEE RFID 2023 Workshop on Motion Capture & Localization (MoCap&Loc) is an established recurrent venue for hosting researchers and engineers interested in the emerging technologies and applications for wireless localization and motion capture. Workshop presentations will explore technical issues relevant to new wireless motion capture, fine-scale localization, gesture recognition, tomography, and related technologies.

Topics Include (but are not limited to)

  • Wireless Motion Capture Systems
  • Indoor and outdoor channel modeling for radio-localization
  • Robotics and RFID for logistics
  • Vehicle, human and object tracking
  • Synthetic arrays and Radar-based Techniques
  • Localization with non-standard RFID systems

  • Gesture Recognition
  • RFID-based Positioning
  • Drones and Vehicles
  • RF/mm-Wave Imaging and tomography
  • Experience in RFID localization research projects
  • Hybrid RFID&X Localization Techniques
